Text and email notifications are designed to alert you when certain activities occur on your Honeywell or Resideo Security System. This could include something like an alarm going off, a sensor being faulted, AC power loss, the system being armed or disarmed, etc.

We will be referencing the Total Connect 2.0 website. This can also be completed using the Total Connect 2.0 mobile app.

Also to set up notifications, make sure we are using an account with Admin Access.

Follow below steps to Set Up Total Connect 2.0 test and email notifications.

  1. Log in to the Total Connect 2.0 from the Web browser.
  2. Navigate the left side panel and select the drop down menu for Users and select My Profile  (as seen on Figure 1 below)
  3. User Profile. Under My Profile, this would show the user Profile information  where we can assign phone number and emails for specific recipient/s. Also, it is possible to assign multiple phone numbers and emails to a single profile if you do not want to have multiple User Profiles.
  4. Add phone numbers and emails. In the right hand panel can be located the Email Notifications section. This is where you can add new email address and phone number who will be contacted when a notification assigned to the User is triggered. Make sure to use a valid email address and phone number for the user to be verified.
  5. Build Notification. When selecting notifications to be sent whenever an event is triggered, this  will be sent out to the Default User via email or SMS notification. To get started, log into Total Connect 2.0 . Click on the Notifications option on the left side pane and click on List. This will provide all the current notifications.
  6. From there, you will need to choose the type of notification you want to be alerted when being triggered.
  7. By Default, all notifications are being enabled and are sent to the Default User assigned. You can add/build notification to be sent out and select the notification group that will receive the alerts.
  8. Select the three horizontal bars with the + sign near the top of the screen to start building a new notification set.
  9.  Constructing a notification set. you will need to first choose the type of notification you wanted to create, provide a name for the notification, select triggers and the devices involved and the group that you wanted to be alerted.
  10. Also, there are existing notifications that are already enabled and are set to be sent to the default group. You can edit  a particular notification and add a different group. You can do this by clicking on the name of the Notification, and in the lower right you can select + Notification and update as to which additional group you wanted to be alerted.
